Originally from Maryland, Emily now lives in Beaverton, Oregon, just outside of Portland. After studying Theatre at Davidson College and Arts Management at Carnegie Mellon University, she worked in theaters across the country. Emily spent six years in sales at Brooks Brothers before becoming a stay-at-home parent and poet. She has chronic pain from a type of Dysautonomia known as POTS, which stands for Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome.
